SPI Publications — Refund Policy
Last Updated: December 2025
Summary
SPI Publications maintains a strict refund policy to protect resources, timelines, and service quality. Please read this policy carefully before purchasing any publishing package or service.
1. No Cash Refunds
All payments made to SPI Publications are non-refundable once the publishing process has been initiated. This includes, but is not limited to, project setup, editorial review, formatting, cover design, ISBN application, printing preparation, and distribution steps.
2. Credit Note (Exception — Before Service Starts)
If the service has not been started at all (no project initiation or resource allocation), SPI Publications may, at its sole discretion, issue a Credit Note instead of a cash refund.
- The Credit Note equals the amount paid and is valid for 12 months from issuance.
- Credit Notes are non-transferable and cannot be redeemed for cash.
- Credit Notes can be used for any SPI Publications service within the validity period.
3. No-Refund Situations
Refunds or credit notes will not be issued under the following circumstances:
- Author’s change of mind after project start
- Delays caused by third-party marketplaces (Amazon/Flipkart)
- Author dissatisfaction with sales performance
- Manuscript rejection due to plagiarism, illegal content, or policy violations
- Author’s incorrect or incomplete manuscript submission
- Services terminated due to author misconduct, harassment, or policy breach
- Any work that has commenced (editing, formatting, proofing, design, or distribution)
4. Payment Disputes & Chargebacks
If an author initiates a bank chargeback or payment dispute after services have commenced, SPI Publications will:
- Immediately suspend all services related to the project.
- Reserve the right to pursue legal action and recover costs incurred.
- Black-list the author from future services if the dispute is found to be unwarranted.
5. Delisting & Cancellation Fees
If an author requests delisting/removal of a published title, SPI Publications will charge a Delisting Fee to cover administrative, marketplace, and cataloging costs. Delisting requests are processed only after full payment of the applicable fee. Marketplace removal timelines depend on the third-party platform.
6. Processing & Timelines
Refund reviews and credit note issuances (where applicable) may take up to 15 business days from the date of request. However, SPI Publications will make reasonable efforts to process requests faster.
7. How to Request
To request cancellation or inquire about refunds/credit notes, email our support team at:
Email: contact@spipublications.in
Include your author name, project title, invoice number, and reason for request.
8. Acceptance
By making any payment to SPI Publications, the Author accepts and agrees to this Refund Policy in full.
