SPI Publications — Terms & Conditions
Comprehensive publishing terms, policies, and author guidelines. Last updated: December 2025.
1. Introduction
By submitting a manuscript or availing any service from SPI Publications, the Author agrees to all Terms & Conditions stated herein. These terms are designed to ensure a smooth publishing process, protect both parties, and maintain a healthy professional environment.
2. Manuscript Submission & Responsibility
- Authors must submit the final, error-checked manuscript.
- SPI Publications is not responsible for grammatical, spelling, or content-related errors unless the Author opts for paid editing services.
- Any legal issues arising from the content — including plagiarism, copyright violations, or defamatory material — remain the full responsibility of the Author.
- Manuscript changes cannot be made once the file is processed for publishing.
3. Formatting & Design
- Standard publishing does not include advanced formatting, proofreading, or custom cover design.
- Only template-based cover design is included unless the Author purchases an add-on service.
- Authors are required to approve the final text and cover before publishing. Once approved, no revisions will be entertained.
4. Publishing Timeline
Publishing timelines may vary depending on workload, seasonal volume, listing delays, and third-party platform processing. Authors are expected to cooperate patiently.
Important: Excessive calls, harassment, or misuse of support may lead to temporary or permanent suspension of support, delays in the publishing process, or termination of author services.
5. Distribution & Listing
Books are generally listed on Amazon, Flipkart, and SPI Store, but final listing and approval depend entirely on third-party marketplace policies.
SPI Publications does not guarantee listing timeline, placement, visibility, sales ranking, or approval from third-party marketplaces. Marketplace listing delays or removals are not under the Publication’s control.
6. Royalty & Sales Reporting
- Royalty reports are provided every 6 months.
- Authors may request withdrawal only when the royalty reaches ₹2000 or above.
- Marketplace returns, production costs, and platform service fees may affect net royalty. SPI Publications is not responsible for fake, cancelled, or refunded orders.
Royalty = Selling Price – Printing Cost – Distribution Fee SPI Store Distribution Fee: 35% | Amazon/Flipkart: approx. 50%
7. Refund Policy
SPI Publications follows a strict no-refund policy once the publishing process begins.
Refunds are not applicable for change of mind, delays caused by third-party platforms, author dissatisfaction with sales, or incorrect/incomplete manuscript submissions. Refunds apply only if SPI Publications fails to start the project within the committed initial timeline due to internal fault.
8. Delisting Policy
If an author wishes to delist/remove their book after publishing, a Delisting Fee will be charged. This fee covers ISBN and catalog removal processing, marketplace delisting, and administrative/backend workload. Delisting requests will be processed only after full payment of the Delisting Fee. Delisting from Amazon/Flipkart is subject to their internal rules and timing.
9. Author Conduct Policy
Authors must communicate respectfully with the team. Use of abusive, threatening, or harassing language results in immediate suspension of support, possible termination of services, and potential legal action in severe cases. Repeated calls for the same query, or disruptive behaviour, may also lead to service suspension.
10. Support & Communication
- Support may be provided via WhatsApp, email, or calls as per availability.
- During high-volume periods, call support may be unavailable.
- Editorial WhatsApp numbers are only for editorial updates, not for support queries.
- Authors must contact the main support channel for official communication.
11. Copyright & Rights
Full copyright remains with the Author. SPI Publications is permitted to distribute the book and use the book cover and content for marketing. SPI Publications will not make changes to content without author approval (except basic formatting).
Anthology Submissions: For anthology submissions, the Author grants SPI Publications exclusive one-time publishing rights for that anthology edition.
12. Termination of Service
SPI Publications reserves the right to terminate services if an author violates terms, uses abusive behaviour, misuses the support system, provides illegal or plagiarized content, or refuses to comply with publishing guidelines. No refunds are provided upon termination due to author misconduct.
13. Additional Legal Provisions
Intellectual Property
All branding, content, templates, website material, and service processes belong to SPI Publications and cannot be reproduced without permission.
Force Majeure
SPI Publications is not liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond its control, including natural disasters, government restrictions, strikes, or technical failures. Publication dates may be postponed accordingly.

14. Acceptance of Terms
By submitting a manuscript, making any payment, or communicating with SPI Publications, the Author accepts the entire Terms & Conditions set forth in this document.
